Every year, hundreds of residents are “dismissed” from their jobs according to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Over 3,000 walk away voluntarily!

The reasons for this are many, but definite patterns of some residency programs firing an inordinate amount of residents exist.
